The free event begins at 6:30pm at the street door of Marks & Spencer in Queen’s Road, and ends at The Stade

To open the I Am a Norman and Fishing People of Quiberville exhibitions on Friday evening September 2nd at 6.30pm photographers Nigel Green and John Cole invite you to take a  ‘Photo-walk’ as part of the Root 1066 festival and the Photohastings’ photo-season.

The walk will be between the ‘I Am A Norman’ exhibition in the bus shelters in Queen’s Road and Havelock Road, moving on to the Stade open space and fishing huts where Polly Gifford (Root 1066 Festival Director) will talk about John’s photographs of the fishing people of Quiberville and Hastings.

These two shows highlight the Norman connections to Britain through the Conquest that took place 950 years ago.

The meeting place for the start of the evening will be outside the street door of Marks & Spencer in Queen’s Road at 6.30pm. Refreshments will be served at the Stade.
