From my earliest development as a visual creative, photography has played a distinct and critical role in my processes and development.

The most important of these are conceptual. From pin hole cameras and box brownie view finders, through telephoto and fisheye lens to 360 degrees of freedom within a VR environment. All of these technologies enable an exploration of ideas, particularly in reframing the way we think about time.

A Collision of Realities (2024)

In this recent and ongoing project, a graveyard is a time capsule of complex interconnections, people and biodiversity. It is untouched by agricultural and urban development, the web of life thrives. Walk among the `not so dead’ and connect to a flourishing biomass.

Firmly in the arena of storytelling, it re-presents the visual world as a structured narrative. Within a `digital reality’ of modelled objects and 3D collaged images, I move within a virtual world. I select images as I would in the `real world’: what interests me, what catches my eye, what stories do I want to share?
